Working in between heartbeats with custom tools under a microscope, Hagop Sandaljian spent hundreds of hours assembling miniature sculptures from bits of wax, fiber, glue and paint. The slight mis-directed breath or muscle spasm could destroy a piece in progress. In fact Hagop lost two Napoleons, and gave up his desperate searches on his workroom desk and floor.
